Top albums 2017 (Sami)

Top albums 2017

by Sami

This year I have been so lazy in many ways, but especially with listening to music. Therefore I named this year’s best albums "top albums" instead. The list is mostly, but not absolutely, based on how many plays I have for each album, but I guess it should also tell what I have liked the best.

The Best

Katla - Móðurástin

Sólstafir did not quite make it to the top this year, but the band including its former members is very well represented in my list. The band of Solstafir's former drummer stroke gold and the main band itself is the second. The music is obviously a close relative to the old band, but I don’t blame them if it sounds this good.

The second

Sólstafir - Berdreyminn

Good (but not as good as Ótta), the second best.

The next

(not in any particular order)

Paradise Lost - Medusa

Mastodon — Emperor of Sand

Annihilator — For the Demented

Vallenfyre — Fear Those Who Fear Him

Body Count — Bloodlust

Something completely different.

Enslaved — E

Jess and the Ancient Ones - The Horse and Other Weird Tales

November's Doom - Hamartia

Queens of the Stone Age - Villains
